What is ircania? Ircania is first of all a state which doesn't exist in the reality.
What is that good for? In the Forums we are simulating a state through
a roleplay. Ircania is a kind of roleplaying-game in forums.
What do you need for a roleplay? A charakter you play, right.
Some things you have to pick in Ircania:
Name: Have to be germanic or japanese/chinese if you are part of the shinto-ethnic group.
Age: easy, isnt it?
Occupation: Here everything is possible which exists in modern european and american states.
Military career: In Ircania everybody has to serve in the army (women
too!), did the person served more years? What rank did he get?
Religion: Every ircanian citizen is religious. As religions there are
to mention asatru or shinto. But as a bit exotic ones islam and
christianity too.
Politics: Are you socialist? Or monarchist who want to have another
emperor? Maybe a nationalists, a hardliner who lives and dies for
Ircania? Or a stone throwing anarchist?
Home: There are many cities you can choose as homecity.

As homecities we suggest Genepohl or Ircania City whose are the cultural centres of the country.
In fact is the ircanian empire a tropical country which is populated with germanic tribes and japanese-like people. The culture is mostly germanic (not german) and aggressive.
Ircania exists somewhere between cyberpunk and the 90ies. It's a poor country but the skylines are dominated from buildings of glas and concrete.
System: Ircania is a empire in which the things govern everything. As politician you get voted up a thing to get more power maybe up to the Reichsthing itself the highest power in the country. There is not much space for minorities. Vannenheim, the part of Ircania which just joined the empire in '08 get supressed from the interior intelligence agency "Othala". Dissenters get hunted and often imprisioned without any process.
The ircanian mafia controls ircanian nights. There are not many clubs, restaurants or other shops which don't pays protection money.
So there is much to do:
Getting your bills pays from protection money, hunting mafiosi?
Get the infos as reporter or suppress information as agent?
